🔥 Stuffed Double Patty Burgers with Goat Cheese & Bacon Jam

🧾 Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb hot Italian sausage
- 1–2 tbsp Bear & Burton’s W Sauce
- Whiskey Bent BBQ The Rocks seasoning (liberally used)
- Smoked cheddar cheese (cut lengthwise)
- Goat cheese (sliced)
- 4 burger buns
- Tomato (sliced)
- Duck Fat Spray or olive oil
- Midwest Bacon Jam
- Optional toppings: lettuce, onion, pickles — whatever suits your fancy
🔥 Instructions:
1. Mix & Season
Combine the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large bowl. Add W Sauce and season the mixture generously with The Rocks. Mix well to combine.
2. Form the Patties
Form 3 oz patties and flatten them out. Place 2 strips of smoked cheddar in the center of one patty, top with a second patty, and pinch the edges to seal. Make sure the cheese is fully enclosed.
3. Grill Time
Preheat your grill to 500°F. Grill burgers for 8–10 minutes per side, or until internal temp reaches at least 165°F.
4. Prep the Fixings
While the burgers are cooking, slice your tomato, buns, and goat cheese. Lightly spray the tops of the buns with duck fat spray or olive oil.
5. Finish Strong
Once the burgers are fully cooked, remove from grill and immediately top with sliced goat cheese so it begins to melt. Toast the buns on the grill until golden.
6. Build the Burger
Spread Midwest Bacon Jam on the bottom bun, add the stuffed burger with melted goat cheese, top with tomato and any other toppings you like. Cap it with your toasted bun and dig in!
